West Broadway Mural

Emmanuelle Jacques came all the way from Montreal to visit us at Art City last week, and we were thrilled to have her. Her work is pretty spectacular.

One of our child participants was pretty excited Emmanuelle was from Montreal.

“My gramma is from Montreal!” he said, “and she speaks English!” It's the little hilarious things that make our hearts melt, you know?

Emmanuelle spent time with us to create a bird’s eye view mural of our West Broadway neighbourhood, using handmade rubber stamps. Participants were able to try out making some of their own stamps and mini maps.

The mural is pretty spot on, with every street labeled and lots of attention to detail. Emmanuelle was so much fun to work with.

You might even be able to spot your house if you look closely!
