ART CITY ANIMAL PARADE

Our furry and not-so-furry friends in the animal kingdom are essential for the health of our environment. Animals also have much to teach us about how to live responsibly, as indigenous peoples all over the world have observed for thousands of years. The ANIMAL PARADE featured the animals of the First Nations’ Seven Sacred Teachings:

Eagle (Love), Bison (Respect), Bear (Courage), Sabe (Honesty),

Beaver (Wisdom), Wolf (Humility), and Turtle (Truth)

Many GIANT thanks to all of the wonderful volunteers and participants who made this event happen!

Special thanks to: Jason Burnstick, Curtis Wiebe, City of Winnipeg, Province of Manitoba (Arts Branch & Neighbourhoods Alive!), United Way of Winnipeg, Manitoba Arts Council, Winnipeg Foundation, West Broadway Community Organization, Manitoba Community Services Council, Broadway Neighbourhood Centre, and West Central Community Program.
